“Good girls tends to gravitate towards bad boys, eh?” that was my very first though after just a few minutes of watching this movie. And I did not read any reviews or plots about this movie before I watched it. All I know is that it was not a happy ending.

After watching it. It was painful indeed, painfully beautiful. This story goes over 100th Love With you and right under Beautiful Life with regard to my “Painfully Beautiful” ranking.

I was watching it while inside the bus and I was sniffing the last 2/3 of it. I was really trying my hardest not to cry but I failed, miserably.

Why do I even watch this kind of movies?

At first I though “How unlucky can one girl be?” when she was raped and bullied then I found out about Hiro’s condition and said, “She one unlucky girl”. Having to encounter all those at the age of 16. Getting raped, losing your baby, losing the love of your life to cancer. IT SUCKS to be her.

But she was very strong. I like her character. I also like Hiro even if he’s a bit of an ass.

I loved the flow of their relationship before Hiro found out h has the Big C though the conservative in me didn’t like that they did the deed at a very young age.

I know my thoughts are scattered everywhere but do watch the film it was good even if it is painful. I found this film good but of course not every body will have the same reaction to it. There are things I don’t like about it (teen pregnancy, rape, those who raped her not being caught) but the good outweighs the bad. I know this can all happen in reality. Some may say that it is too cliche, and ask why they did not report it to the police and such, but I guess that’s how they are in Japan. Cultural differences.

Oh, and I also feel bad about the second guy Mika fell in love with. But he’s one heck of a nice guy. He deserves all the love.
